Tags section *FIXED*

It was brought to my attention recently, that the Tags section was totally broken. I won't go into the details of why, but I wanted to let the lot of you know that it has been corrected. You can now resume ordering tags. Please let us know if you have any problems in the future.

Also, a few people had asked me to put together a cheat sheet of steps for making a badge. That will be done very shortly. I'll let you know right here on this blog when it goes up.

Training Schedule

A Training Schedule has been added to the Resources for Responders section.

fireTRAX_Host_Personnel_Application.pdf has been added to the Resources for Responders section. A link to this has also been added to the navigation menu on the right, since this will be downloaded many times. Important - You must print the form. You may fill it out electronically, but you cannot save those changes. They will be lost if not printed.

KansasResponder Changes

As requested, an example has been added to the Tags page. You can log in as username-demo password-demo. Go to the Tags page and click 'View Status'. Tag 1 is a Riley County tag example. Also, the color options now line up with the SOG manual.

Also, until your county's fireTRAX training, each time you log in, per browser session, you will be reminded of your training date. Please mark this date on your calendar. More information to come on times and locations, but save the date none-the-less.

Status Update - Resources and Information

The "Resources for Responders" and the "Product Information" sections are now active. There isn't very much there yet, but as more ideas and information come my way, we'll get it posted as quickly as possible. These are good links if you need reference regarding standards and supply information.

Status Update - Specifically the Tags section

As of today, the capability to utilize this site for placing the initial tag orders is in place. You may start doing this at any time. However, you will need to contact Midwest Card & ID Solutions for you login information. Please visit our Contact page for information on how to contact us.

Also, there is now a Site Map in place to make your site navigation easier.

There are several things left to be done here, but it should be performing functionally for you in the mean time. The navigation controls may change but I'll make sure and keep the site up and running as close to 24/7 as possible.

Soon, you'll be able to access tons of great emergency management resources. Check back from time to time to see what new information will be offered here at KansasResponder.com.

Site Status Update

kansasresponder.com is currently being prepared for use. Please contact Adam at Midwest Card & ID Solutions if you have any questions. The telephone number is 816-221-0620, and you can email me at adam@midwestcard.com.

This site's future is to be used as a primary support tool for Kansas, county-level Emergency Management personnel. It will include a lot of reference materials covering regulations and standards regarding emergency management.

Also, the first section to be completed on this site will allow emergency managers to select and order the tags which were purchased as part of the accountability solution.
